Gin
Cadenhead's Old Raj Gin is distinctive in that it contains a measure of saffron, the rare and costly spice derived from the crocus flower. In addition to a slightly spicy flavour, this also imparts a pale yellow colour to Old Raj. The addition of saffron is undertaken personally by the Company Chairman in order to ensure a consistency in flavour and colour each time Old Raj is bottled.

Moidart
Our vatted malt whisky follows the Cadenhead principle of non chill-filtration which gives it a very smooth rounded body. The name MOIDART comes from the phrase " My King has landed in Moidart" which is the first line of a Gaelic song celebrating the landing of "Bonnie Prince Charlie" in Moidart in his attempt to win the crown for his father.

Cognac
After a gap of many years we have re-introduced Cognac (which originates in the French region of Cognac and its surroundings) to our list. Only spirits made with eaux-de-vie from the protected zone and permitted grapes are entitled to the name Cognac. They must be distilled and aged following specifically authorised techniques, respecting the double distillation process in a copper alembic, and aged in oak barrels for a minimum period of time. Again, in keeping with the Cadenhead ethos we bottle from single casks at the natural malting strength.

Putachieside
A blended whisky produced by Cadenhead which is labelled as a liqueur whisky (an old term for a blend containing a high percentage of malt). The label depicts the view from our old premises at 47 Netherkirkgate, Aberdeen, an area known as Putachieside which, sadly, is no longer in existence.

Gin
Der Cadenhead's Old Raj Gin hebt sich besonders dadurch hervor, dass er ein gewisses Mafs an Safran enthalt, ein seltenes und kostspieliges Gewurz, welches aus dem Krokus gewonnen wird. Neben einem leicht wurzigen Aroma fugt dieses auch eine blafs-gelbe Farbe zum Old Raj hinzu. Die Zugabe von Safran wird noch heute personlich vom Vorsitzenden des Unternehmens vorgenommen. Dadurch stellen wir sicher, dass Farbe und Aroma bei jeder Abfullung des Old Raj einheitlich bleiben.

Moidart
Unser "Vated Malt Whisky" folgt der alten Cadenhead-Tradition, auf die Kaltefiltration zu verzichten. Dadurch erhalt dieser Whisky ein sehr weiches, rundes und harmonisches Erscheinungsbild. Der Name "Moidart" leitet sich aus der ersten Zeile des alten galischen Leides "Mein Konig ist in Moidart glendet" ab, in dem die historische Landung von Bonnie Prince Charlie an der schottischen Kuste bejubelt wird, als er 1745 einen letzten Versuch unternahm, die Krone seines Vaters weider zu gewinnen

Cognac
Nach einer mehrjahrigen Pause haben wir den Cognac (der aus dem franzosischen Gebiet des Cognac und seiner Umgebung stammt) wieder in unser Programm aufgenommen. Nur Destillat aus dieser geschutzen Region unter Verwendung besonderer zugelassener Trauben darf den Namen Cognac tragen. Der Vorgang des Destillierens und des Alterns muss bestimmten reglementierten Vorgehensweisen folgen, so muss bspw. der Cognac in einer kupfernen Brennblase zweifach destilliert werden und danach fur eine gewisse Mindestdauer in Eichenfassern ausgebaut werden. Erneut den alten Cadenhead-Grundsatzen folgend, fullen wir ausschlieblich Einzelfasser in ihrer naturlichen Fass-Starke ab.

Putachieside
Ein "Blended Scotch Whisky", der von Cadenhead hergestellt wird. Das Etikett der Flasche zeigt noch heute eine Ansicht der alten Firmengebaude von Cadenhead's an der Netherkirkgate 47 im schottischen Aberdeen. Dieser Stadtteil war fruher unter dem Namen Putachieside bekannt, leider existiert dieses Viertel heute nicht mehr.

Gin
Old Raj Gin della Cadenhead si distingue n quanto contiene una parte di zafferano, la rara e costosa spezia estratta dal fiore di croco. Oltre ad un sapore leggermente speziato conferise un colore giallo pallido a Old Raj. Il Presidente della Societa sovrintende personalmente all'aggiunta di zafferano ogni volta che Old Raj viene imbottigliato per poter garantire la giusta consistenza per sapore e colore.

Moidart
Il nostro vatted malt whisky seque il principio della Cadenhead di non filtrare a freddo che conferisce al prodotto un corpo morbido e rotondo. Il nome MOIDART viene dal detto "Ill mio Re 'e arrivato a Moidart" che e il prmo verso di una canzone Gaelica composta per celebrare l'arrivo di "Bonnie Prince Charlie" a Moidart nel suo tentativo di conquistare la corona per suo padre.

Cognac
Dopo un silenzio di alcuni anni abbiamo re-introdotto il Cognac (proveniente dalla omonima regione Francese) al nostro listino. Soltanto le uve autorizzate possono fregiarsi del nome Cognac. Debbono essere distillante seguendo precise tecniche, rispettando la doppia distillazione in alambicchi di rame ed invecchiamenti in barili di quercia per un periodo di tempo minimo stabilito. Inoltre, in ossequio all'etica Cadenhead, sono imbottigliante da singole botti al loro grado alcolico naturale raggiunto dopo la maturazione.

Le Old Raj Gin de Cadenhead's se distinque des autres parcequ'il continent un peu du safran, l'epice rare et couteuse qui vient du fleur du crocos, ce qui donne un saveur lingrement epice, aussi qu'un couleur jaunatre a l'Old Raj. L'ajout du safran est la tache personelle du president de la societe pour assurer la continuite du saveuer du coleur a chaque emboutellage

Selon les principes de Cadenhead's ce vatted malt n'est subis a aucun filtrage a froid, ce qui lui donne un saveur tres moelleux et corpulent. Le nom Moidart vient d'un vieux chanson Gaelic qui fete le debarquement de Bonnie Price Charlie a Moidart ou il pretendait gagner le couronne pour son pere.

Un whisky blended elabore par Cadenhead. L'ettiquette montre le panorama du region de Putachieside, un zone dans la ville de Aberdeen au nord d'Ecosse qui malheureusement n'existe plus. Cette region etait le site de notre ancien edifice a 47 Netherkirkgate, Aberdeen.
